In 1989, the Palestine Liberation Organization put out a poster titled “لا صوت يعلو فوق صوت الإنتفاضة” “No voice is higher than the voice of the intifada”. The intifada marked an era of resistance for Palestinian youth fighting against the occupation. It became the voice for the Palestinian liberation movement and till this day its voice rises higher each day despite the suffering and the destruction the Israeli State unleashes. In this illustration we adopted a stamp frame to capture a moment in time that symbolizes the Palestinian resistance. We have outlined the inside of the frame with olive branches and centred the Anemone coronaria poppy, the national flower of Palestine to showcase the national identity and rootedness of the land."
